Ken and Mary Davidson generously donated this park area in 2007. From 1989 to 2007, they worked to create these gardens in line with Mr. Davidson's vision to cultivate and evaluate exotic ornamental species for their compatibility with the surrounding environment.

The Davidson Arboretum primarily features trees and some shrubs from the northern hemisphere, with a focus on deciduous varieties.
